The number 1 question for 2023 is: how can I take The number 1 question for 2023 is: how can I take good care of myself?

That begins with understanding that stress leads to going the extra mile, exceeding your limits, not feeling what you need, failing to prioritize what is important to you, and so on. This works like a spiral in which you have to work harder and harder to achieve the same goals and less and less comes to relaxation and nutrition. This is how you get ever more out of balance until you exhaust yourself.

But you can do something about that!

* The sooner you get there, the easier it is to stop a stress response.
* Also if you recognize its later, it still makes sense to stop and take a step back.

You can decide what to do in such a stressful moment. Choices always have a price, but this does not mean they are beyond your control.

If you want to have a conscious response, consciously taking care of yourself, that consists of noticing the signals and then considering the following two questions:

1. What is the best thing to do in this moment?
2. And how can I take good care of myself?

So, how will you take care of yourself this year?

While counting down to new adventures, the last fe While counting down to new adventures, the last few weeks have been all about reflection and spiritual as well as physical and digital cleaning. All this to create space for the new year.

This year has not been without challenges. But I no longer look back on life with regrets; instead, I see all the bumps in the road as lessons learned and stories to tell!😉

That's why I am looking back on 2022 and feeling grateful. For the travel experiences I've had, the beautiful moments I've shared with friends and family, graduating in vitality coaching, coaching new clients, hosting three mindfulness trainings, hosting two vitality workshops, chatting with so many of you via DM or Zoom, and the many lessons I've learned about myself and the work I do with Adjuma.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!🧡

Last tip of the year... celebrate what you want to see more of.

It's now time to say goodbye to the old and hello to the new. It's time for a new year full of new possibilities. Wishing you all the best!

See you next year! Love Sil 🧡

🥂PS. now now bring on the bubbly.

Do it perfectly imperfect! Thoughts for the end o Do it perfectly imperfect!

Thoughts for the end of the year...
Do you have the urge to do everything on your slow living journey perfectly?

Well, today’s reminder is to just do it perfectly imperfect!

* You don't want to make any mistakes with slow living that could lead to... I didn't have time today to meditate, rest, or do anything else, so I won't do it at all.

* You want to make perfect decisions when it comes to making more conscious food choices. hich can sometimes lead to...
I need to eat more plant-based foods, but I ate dairy today, so I might as well quit.

* You don’t want to make mistakes when it comes to making sustainable choices: if I want to live sustainably, everything in my house and lifestyle must be sustainable at once.

🌶️Unfortunately, that does not work. And wanting to be perfect costs so much energy.
⚡️In addition, it is also counterproductive. This kind of perfectionism can sometimes prevent you from even starting. Or you might start, but give up because you think you're not doing it well enough.

Instead, you can also think… I'm going to do it perfectly imperfect!

This can be done by:
- Doing my best is sufficient
- If it does not work out today, tomorrow is another day and I can try again or pick up where I left off.

Who can relate? And/or who is ready to start this slow (with emphasis slow) living journey?

If you have sensitive skin and only want to use na If you have sensitive skin and only want to use natural products, it can be challenging to find good slow skin products.
Luckily, I was recently invited to try Abloom products, and I now have a new favorite brand to add to our list of slow skin care products.

First and foremost, I admire Abloom's transparency in taking skincare to a cleaner, greener, and healthier level.
They create skin care that is made from 100% botanical ingredients and, as they say, with the natural power of Mother Nature.

I tried the cleanser and the toner on my sensitive skin.

This vegan cleanser cleans well while also moisturizing, and calming even the most sensitive and demanding skin. After the cleanser I used the super nice smelling toner. This combo leaves my skin clean, nourished and super soft.

To get you started, check the blog for more of our favorite vegan, cruelty and sustainable beauty brands.
